Spain open kitchen
A project by Google Arts & Culture and the Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy.
Spain's open kitchen. In Spain, we love to eat; I don't think we can debate that. And everyone who comes to visit us from abroad falls in love with our gastronomy, or at least with some of our star dishes, which they then try, with varying degrees of success, to recreate in their home countries.
Let's boast, even Google has taken a special interest in our culinary contributions to the international recipe book.
Spain: Open Kitchen is the most comprehensive online exhibition on Spanish gastronomy to date and Google's first dedicated to a country's culinary culture. It features a vast collection of 55 virtual exhibits with over 2,000 items, available in four languages.
The goal of this adventure that Google Arts & Culture This project, undertaken in partnership with the Royal Academy of Gastronomy and with the participation of the Costume Museum and Acción Cultural Española, aims to tell the stories behind our products and dishes. It puts a face to the chefs, winemakers, and producers. .
We already knew that Spain is: “a country to die for”
Juan Echanove and Imanol Arias told us about it first, and then Ana Duato. We could eat Spain piece by piece; because every corner of its land has products and recipes that are part of its cultural heritage. But of course, a dish tastes better when you know its story… and without a doubt, behind every recipe there is a story.
All these stories can be discovered on the portal, which features an interactive map and divides the content into three parts:
PART 1 – THE FLAVORS: Traditional dishes and cutting-edge proposals.
PART 2 – THE PEOPLE: The people behind Spanish gastronomy.
PART 3 – THE ENCOUNTERS: Gastronomy meets art and culture.
Take a virtual tour of Wineries designed by renowned architects, learn about the origin of famous dishes like paella or potato omelet, or find out more about Spanish wines Thanks to an interactive map, Spain: Open Kitchen is a recipe with many ingredients. It's worth enjoying.
