The largest trade fair for quality food and beverages will reopen its doors in Madrid from March 30 to April 2, 2020. Ifema is the chosen venue for the Salón Gourmets.
Salón Gourmets is the perfect showcase for high-quality products and a meeting point for exhibitors, buyers, and visitors.
Food industry professionals will discover the latest trends in the sector during the event. A wide-ranging program of activities and themed areas where visitors can learn about and sample products are, for example, major attractions of the show.
The Salon collects the 9th edition of the Salón Gourmets Awards, Special recognition will be given to new producers. This year, a new category has been added; in addition to the existing categories of innovation, presentation, and versatility, there is now an award for the most nutritionally complete organic product.
During the Salon, as in previous years, important and eagerly awaited championships and competitions will be held.
Industry professionals will be put to the test in the Spanish Sommelier Championship, the ham carving competition, and the beer pouring competition.
Products such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil or cheese play a special role thanks to the International Award for Cooking with Extra Virgin Olive Oil already Gourmet Cheeses, the Championship of the Best Cheeses of Spain.
