It has been four intense days, as any important commemoration deserves, and on this occasion it was no less because a silver wedding anniversary is not celebrated every day.
In the Wine Tunnel, we had the opportunity to taste more than 270 wines grouped by variety. In a single wine corridor, the queens of Spanish viticulture were represented, very successfully in my opinion.
There was time for excitement, as Diego Hernández once again achieved the Guinness World Record and proved that he is the best ham cutter in the world by cutting more than 10.4 kilos of Guijuelo ham and 2160 slices, and the kitchens of Evarist Miralles and David Vizcaíno have taken to Valencia a prize of 6000 euros and all the admiration of the profession, proclaiming themselves the best cooks in Spain in the XIII championship of their category.
Black olive ice cream, recipe books with edible pages, infusions that sprout inside a cup, and ultimately products of exceptional quality and novelties that surprise the world of gastronomy every year are what we have found again in this anniversary edition of the Salon.
The next meeting is in March 2012 and if they let us... we'll be there.
