A tasting panel scoring the quality of the wines tasted, not without the inherent risk of subjectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this case, we are talking about a competition that rewards the people, companies and projects that manage to get that bottle to us, awaken our curiosity and end up becoming part of an experience worth remembering and telling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sommeliers, specialist shops, training centers, communicators, distributors, restaurants, wine tourism projects and promotional campaigns are all part of a competition that, since its arrival in Spain, seeks to recognize those who work every day to bring wine culture closer to the consumer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the IWC Industry Awards Spain 2026?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>International Wine Challenge Industry Awards Spain<\/strong> These awards are intended to recognize the excellence, innovation, and work of professionals and companies involved in the promotion, communication, training, distribution, and marketing of wine. Therefore, they propose <a href=\"https:\/\/iwcmerchantawards.es\/categorias-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">different categories<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it&#039;s important to clarify something: <strong>Wines as a product do not compete in these awards.<\/strong>. The judgment isn&#039;t based on whether a red wine has more intensity, a white wine has better acidity, or a sparkling wine has particularly fine bubbles. What is valued is the work done on the wine over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Spanish competition is linked to the international prestige of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalwinechallenge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Wine Challenge<\/a><\/strong>, The competition, founded in London in 1984, is renowned for its blind tasting system and various evaluation phases. The awards dedicated to the industry extend this spirit of rigor to the work of those who sell, explain, recommend, and promote wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first Spanish edition was held in 2016 by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mateoandco.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mateo&amp;Co<\/a>. Today, it&#039;s no longer enough to simply produce a good bottle. They maintain rigor while avoiding turning every glass into an exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, learning about wine should help us enjoy it more, not worry about using the perfect word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I participate in the 2026 edition?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration for the IWC Industry Awards Spain 2026 is <strong>free<\/strong> and the same company or professional can submit their application in several categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The submitted works and projects must have been developed during the last year. The registration period will remain open until [date]. <strong>September 20, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The jury will select three finalists per category and the winners will be announced during the awards dinner, scheduled for [date missing]. <strong>November 10, 2026 in Madrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each winner will receive a trophy and will be able to use the IWC Industry Awards Spain logo corresponding to their category. The awards do not include a cash prize, but they represent significant professional recognition and an opportunity to showcase the work done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ten years recognizing the evolution of the sector<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2025 edition celebrated the tenth anniversary of the awards in Spain with a day dedicated to analyzing the evolution of Spanish wine over the last decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the presentations and a master tasting, 24 awards were given to professionals, companies and projects linked to communication, sustainability, training, distribution, sommellerie and wine tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the award winners were Dani Giganto as Best Sommelier, Baco Enoteca as Best Specialized Wine Shop, Dec\u00e1ntalo as Best Online Shop, Ram\u00f3n Franc\u00e0s as Best Communicator and Albariza en las Venas as Best Online Communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wine tourism projects such as Vinseum and El Hilo de Ariadna by Bodegas Yllera were also recognized, demonstrating that the wine experience can be built from very different spaces, formats and perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reward everything that happens before opening a bottle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Behind every wine that reaches our table there are many more people than we imagine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are those who take care of the vineyard and make the wine, of course, but also those who select the references, prepare a menu, organize a tasting, design a label, teach a course, create a campaign, manage a store or recommend a bottle thinking about who will drink it and share it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>IWC Industry Awards Spain<\/strong> They help to remind us that wine culture is not built solely in wineries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also built in classrooms, restaurants, wine shops, on trips, in the media, and in all those conversations that begin with a question as simple as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cWhat wine do you recommend?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/entre-cepas.com\/en\/tastings-in-madrid\/\">Between the Vines<\/a> We believe that making wine more accessible means making it understandable, interesting, and enjoyable.
